Ranua Wildlife Park is home to Finland's only polar bears and more than 50 Arctic species, all kept in spacious enclosures along a 2.8 km forest boardwalk. It's the most family-friendly day out in the region and pairs perfectly with an evening aurora hunt.

What you'll see
Polar bears, brown bears, lynx, wolverine, Arctic fox, musk ox, moose, reindeer, snowy owls and more — over 50 species native to the northern hemisphere. Winter is when the cold-climate animals are most active, and the snowy setting is magical.
Getting there
Ranua is about 1 hour south of Rovaniemi and roughly 1¼ hours from Ruka & Kuusamo. Our guided day trip includes door-to-door transfers, park entrance and a local guide, so you just enjoy the day.
Best time to visit
Winter (December–March) offers snow, active Arctic animals and the chance to combine the trip with a Northern Lights tour the same evening. Allow 2–3 hours inside the park.
