Our guides provide hands-on photography coaching: aperture, ISO, shutter speed, focus technique. You'll leave with both the skills and the shots.

Important Notes

Minimum age 8 years. Tours run nightly September–March departing 8:00–9:30pm depending on season darkness. Exact location decided on the night based on weather and aurora forecast.

The Experience

A classic northern lights hunt through the Kuusamo wilderness. We follow the aurora and cloud forecast on the night and drive to the darkest, clearest skies to give you the best possible chance of seeing the lights — away from town glow, out where the sky is at its brightest.

By the fire we wait and watch, with your guide explaining what causes the aurora and how to read the night sky.

The Experience

You'll drive your own team of 4–6 Siberian huskies through the snow-silent Finnish forest. There's nothing quite like the sound of excited huskies pulling you through a moonlit winter landscape — an unforgettable arctic experience.

The Experience

Follow our guide through frozen wilderness tracks on a modern snowmobile, reaching remote spots deep in the Kuusamo backcountry that are completely inaccessible by car. The combination of speed, cold air, and the vast silent wilderness is exhilarating.

Important Notes

Valid driving licence required for solo riding — passengers can ride pillion without a licence. Minimum age 18 for driving, 8 for passengers. Tours run December–March.

The Experience

The most serene of our tours — a gentle reindeer-drawn sleigh glides through the forest to a traditional Finnish lávvu (tipi). Inside, a fire is burning. You warm up by the fire, then step outside to look for aurora in the clear northern sky.

Important Notes

Suitable for all ages including young children. No minimum age. The most popular tour for families and honeymooners. Runs December–March. Sauna swimwear not required (bring if preferred).

The Experience

Get equipped at the safari office, then drive to Juuma in Oulanka National Park. Strap on snowshoes and walk through snow-covered forest to the beautiful Myllykoski rapids, crossing the hanging bridge above the running water. Pause for pastries by an old mill before heading back. A gentle 4–5km route through some of Finland's most photogenic winter scenery.

The Experience

A guided winter adventure from Rovaniemi through the snowy wilderness of Finnish Lapland to Ruka. Ride the world's northernmost roller coaster — a 767m track that winds through snowy hills at up to 40 km/h with stunning views. You control the speed yourself with a brake lever, so it's gentle for younger kids and a full thrill for everyone else. The day also includes a scenic drive through frozen forests and a guided walk along safe winter trails to learn about the area's geology and nature.

The Experience

Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost zoo in the world and home to around 50 Arctic and northern species — about 150 animals in total — including Finland's only polar bears. Wander the 3km forest boardwalk past brown bears, lynx, wolverine, Arctic fox, musk ox, reindeer and snowy owls, all living in spacious, natural enclosures. We handle the round-trip drive so you can simply enjoy the day.

The Experience

Step across the official Arctic Circle line at Santa Claus Village, the famous home of Father Christmas just north of Rovaniemi. Meet Santa in person (free — photos available to purchase), send a card from Santa's Main Post Office with its special Arctic Circle postmark, collect your Arctic Circle crossing certificate, and browse the Lapland craft and souvenir shops. We take care of the transport from your hotel.

This is aurora hunting without compromise, starting from Rovaniemi. There's no fixed route, no mileage limit and no time cap — your guide reads real-time cloud cover and solar-wind data and drives wherever the clear skies are, whether that's 50km or 400km away. If we don't see the northern lights, you get your money back. A small group of max 8 in a comfortable 4×4 van, with a professional photographer capturing you under the lights.

The Experience

A comfortable, private door-to-door transfer across Finnish Lapland in a modern minibus (Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle or similar) for up to 8 passengers. We connect Rovaniemi with Saariselkä (~260km) and Ivalo (~240km) in around 4 hours, with a comfort stop along the way. The vehicle is yours alone — no sharing, your own schedule — running in either direction.

The Experience
