Santa Claus Village sits right on the Arctic Circle just north of Rovaniemi, and Santa is there to meet 365 days a year. You can step across the marked Arctic Circle line, send a postcard from Santa's official Post Office, and browse Sámi crafts and huskies.

Here's how to visit from Ruka, Kuusamo or Rovaniemi.

What to do at Santa Claus Village

Getting there

The Village is 8 km north of Rovaniemi. From Ruka & Kuusamo it's a scenic day trip. Our guided tour includes hotel pickup from Rovaniemi or a full day trip from Ruka, with a local guide.

Best time to visit

December is peak magic (and peak crowds — arrive early). November to March gives full snow and the chance to pair the visit with an evening aurora hunt.

Combine with the Northern Lights

The Village is open into the evening, so you can meet Santa by day and join an aurora tour after dark.
