Wondering if you can bring the children — or a baby — on a Northern Lights tour? Good news: aurora hunts are family-friendly, with just a few practical considerations.
Here's what to know by age.
Aurora hunts: all ages
There's no minimum age for our aurora tours — babies, toddlers and children are all welcome. Warm transport and a campfire mean little ones can warm up whenever they need to.
Activity age notes
- Reindeer safari: all ages, gentle and calm — ideal for toddlers
- Husky safari: children ride as passengers; older kids can help drive with an adult
- Snowmobile: driving needs a licence (adults); children ride as passengers
Tips for taking children
Layer them very warmly, bring snacks and hand warmers, and consider December when darkness comes early enough for pre-bedtime aurora. See our family guide.
Minimum group size
Our tours require a minimum of 2 people (children count), and small groups keep the experience relaxed for families.
