Wichtige Hinweise

Mindestalter 8 Jahre. Touren finden von September bis März jede Nacht statt, Abfahrt 20:00–21:30 Uhr je nach Dunkelheit der Saison. Der genaue Ort wird in der Nacht je nach Wetter und Polarlicht-Vorhersage festgelegt.

Das Erlebnis

A classic northern lights hunt through the Kuusamo wilderness. We follow the aurora and cloud forecast on the night and drive to the darkest, clearest skies to give you the best possible chance of seeing the lights — away from town glow, out where the sky is at its brightest.

Warm drinks by the fire while we wait and watch, with your guide explaining what causes the aurora and how to read the night sky.

Das Erlebnis

Die ruhigste unserer Touren — ein sanfter Rentierschlitten gleitet durch den Wald zu einer traditionellen finnischen Lávvu (Zelt). Drinnen brennt ein Feuer. Du wärmst dich am Feuer und trittst dann hinaus, um im klaren Nordhimmel nach Polarlicht zu suchen.

Das Erlebnis

Get equipped at the safari office, then drive to Juuma in Oulanka National Park. Strap on snowshoes and walk through snow-covered forest to the beautiful Myllykoski rapids, crossing the hanging bridge above the running water. Pause for hot chocolate and pastries by an old mill before heading back. A gentle 4–5km route through some of Finland's most photogenic winter scenery.

Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost zoo in the world and home to around 50 Arctic and northern species — about 150 animals in total — including Finland's only polar bears. Wander the 3km forest boardwalk past brown bears, lynx, wolverine, Arctic fox, musk ox, reindeer and snowy owls, all living in spacious, natural enclosures. We handle the round-trip drive so you can simply enjoy the day.
