The World's Northernmost Zoo

Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost zoo on the planet and one of Lapland's most loved family attractions. Set in genuine Arctic forest, it's home to around 50 northern species — roughly 150 animals — living in large, natural-feeling enclosures along a single easy walking trail.

The undisputed stars are Finland's only polar bears, but you'll also meet brown bears, lynx, wolverine, Arctic fox, musk ox, reindeer, otters and a cast of owls and other northern birds. The 3-kilometre boardwalk loop takes most visitors 1.5 to 2 relaxed hours.

We take care of the round-trip drive from your accommodation, so all you have to do is enjoy a gentle, magical day among the animals of the north.
